Introducing Richard Norton, Martial Artist and Movie Star. As a Martial Artist he has over 45 years of Experience, training extensively with such Martial Arts legends as Benny’ The Jet’ Urquidez, Fumio Demura, Bill Wallace, Pete ‘Sugar Foot’ Cunningham, Rigan and Jean Jacques Machado and of course his old friend, Chuck Norris.

Additionally he has over 15 years as a personal Body Guard and trainer for such leading Rock Musicians as The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Joe Cocker and ABBA. As a Movie Star he has been in over 60 Films over 30 years in various roles and also on many more as a Stunt – Fight Coordinator. 

He has co-starred alongside such greats as Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, David Carradine and the great Sammo Hung. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Norton in Australia several times and in several venues.  I was particularly fascinated with his training procedures he calls “Complexes” which he filmed for Black Belt Magazines video series.  While training I felt that they were an excellent training drills integrated with Kyusho.  After working just one of the 6 Complexes for 3 years adding Kyusho into 9 levels of focus. 

I filmed them with the help of the great guys in the Learning Center for Martial Arts in Mansfield, MA… and presented it to Mr. Norton along with another drill I learned from him of which he was not only happy with, but requested that we get together and train it so he could learn and adapt it into his teachings. With his consent I decided to share it with all of you.  So it has been added to the www.learn.kyusho.com Kyusho online educational program with 5 layer anatomical charts, video and written text of explaination for 5 – 9 sections in each level. Many people navigate to YouTube and other sites just to watch the Kyusho KO’s using the Vital Points.  They either think they are fake or that they can easily duplicate them.  they are neither, but too many people get caught up in them and even obsessed.

Kyusho in Self Protection is far more comprehensive and verstile than these demonstrations illustrate.  I admit they are intriguing, but so many miss the infinite other benefits of Kyusho in favor of these random techniques.

Look to the myriad of benefits rather than the the glitz to find worth for you!

I have just embarked on documenting a series of research and historical accounting, that has brought us to where we are now with Kyusho. The Health & Wellness sections reflect the healing methods leaqrned from using Kyusho for protective purposes.

This will be my 7th book, (which will be dissected in article form over many months in Budo Magazine), will be an accounting that should hopefully bridge this gap in Martial Artist’s minds. This being that Kyusho is strictly for hurting and let all understand that Kyusho is rather a concept of finding the “Vital Point” in all we do.

By the way in the beginning of anything new is ridicule, (Kyusho for hurting has passed this as it is now accepted and growing), the next stage is denial until it reaches the acceptance stage where we stand with the Martial aspects now.

So the ridicule for Health, Intimacy, Law Enforcement and yes even Finance will too be turned to denial and then eventually acceptance.

Look at what they said of efforts from Benjamin Franklin (harnessed electricity), which enabled Thomas Edison (inventor of the light bulb and telephone), from that initial effort. People ridiculed them, denied what they were doing would work or had worth… but now where would we be without these great initiatives today… modern society would not and could not exist as they are.

So what is Kyusho besides learning the Vital Points for Self Protection?

There are vital points to each adverse situation and we must learn to recognize them as they avail themselves. This does not necessarily mean in a physical attack, but all adversities.  The Physical we all understand (especially Martial Artists), so I will not elaborate on it here.

• But what about stresses of the day that attack our physical health?
• But what about intimacy boredom that separate partners and attack our relationships?
• But what about financial stresses of the day that attack our families safety and well being?

Devoted to empowering people so they can be stronger in adverse situations of all type, there are no barriers on what or who the enemy is or will be.

Well I only brought my phone to Indiana and had trouble posting, my apologies for that.

It was a great 3 days as we had beginners as well as 10 year veterans of Kyusho in attendance.  The beginners worked through the levels and the advanced practitioners worked through those levels.

We have a few new affiliates also that were indoctrinated and should be posted soon. 

Also we were told by one attendee (long time Kyusho practitioner and 20+ year veteran of law enforcement and LE trainer) that the KTCP will be taught at ILEETA International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association… a great step forward for this program.

While I was away of course the first shipment of the new Gock Ng Sing Video arrived and the first 60 will be mailed out today.

I am in route to Indiana where Jim Corn and I will be instruting the Kyusho Instructor Traing Course.

This year it includes the firt module instruction of the Kyusho Tactical Control Program for those interested in instructing Law Enforcement Agents this powerful option. It is gaining International recognition and support, which I predict will replace the older and less effective PPCT training.
